Indian Navy Dockyard Apprentices Exam is conducted for recruiting personnel to the Indian Navy, one of the branches of the Indian Armed Forces responsible for conducting naval operations in India. With 55,000 men and women, including 5,000 naval aviation personnel and 2,000 Marine Commandos (MARCOS), it is the worldâ€™s fifth largest navy operating more than 155 vessels and the aircraft carrier INS Viraat. The primary aim of the Indian Navy is to work in conjunction with other armed forces of the nation, acting to deter or defeat any threats or aggression against the territory, people or maritime interests of India, both in war and peace.
Every year, the Indian Navy Dockyard Apprentices Exam is held for recruiting personnel to the Indian Navy, qualifying which the short listed candidates are imparted the required training to become fully capable of dedicating themselves to the honorable task of safeguarding the nation.
Age Limit - Age relaxations will be applicable as per the rules.
Educational Qualification - Candidates should have done 10th / 12th/ ITI or its equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
â€¢ Paper pattern
The written test consists of two papers. These two papers carry maximum of 100 marks. The first paper is mathematics and the second paper is General science and General knowledge. The duration of first paper is two and half-hours. The duration of second paper is 2 hours. The aspirants who have cleared the written test can attend the personal Interview. The personal interview carried out at Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata.
