Overview (Introduction begins here!!)
ICAR is an all India entrance exam for agricultural research conducted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Every year, ICAR conducts entrance test for selecting candidates for various institutions for admission in Agricultural universities. The examination is for the students who want to get a degree in the field of agriculture, horticulture, fisheries and animal sciences.

Eligibility Criteria (Do you have it in you!!)
- For UG course, the candidates are required to pass out the 10+2 Senior Secondary Examination held by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any other equivalent examination with any one of the subjects: Biology/ Mathematics/ Agriculture/ Home Science.
- For PG course, aspirants are required to have a graduation degree in Agriculture, Veterinary, Forestry, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Food Science, Biotechnology, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science, and Agriculture.
- For General, OBC, and UPS category, 50% marks in aggregate is required.
- For SC/ST, and physically handicapped categories, 40% marks in aggregate is required.
- A Candidate with a compartment/ supplementary in any of the subjects will not be eligible.
- Age limit For UG Course: The aspirant should be between 18 to 23 years old.
- Age limit for PG Course: The age of aspirant should not be less than 19 years.

Till date, there is no notification for ICAR examination regarding application. The exam dates for all degree courses has been declared and are:
• For undergraduate course exam date: 9 April, 2016
• For postgraduate and doctorate course exam date 10 April, 2016
