Overview (Introduction begins here!!)
Indian Navy Dockyard Apprentices Exam 2016 is organized two times in a
year for the recruitment of personnel to the Indian Navy and one of the
branches of the Indian Armed Forces which is responsible for the
conduction of naval operations in India. The selected candidates will be
given the required training in the below mentioned trades:
â€¢ Mechanic Diesel
â€¢ Crane Operator
â€¢ Ref and Air condition Mechanic
â€¢ Shipwright and Maintenance Mechanic
Non-Designated: Engine Fitter, Ship Fitter, Radar Fitter, Machinery
Control Fitter, Sonar Fitter, Electronic Fitter, GT Fitter.

Eligibility Criteria (Do you have it in you!!)
1. Educational Qualification: The applicants has to pass the Matriculation / equivalent examination with preferably Science to apply for this exam.
2.Age: Only unmarried male candidates who are belonging to the age group of around 14 to 19 years are eligible to apply ( relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST candidates )
3.Nationality: A candidate should either be:
1. a citizen of India, or
2. a subject of Bhutan, or
3. a subject of Nepal, or
4. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will not, however, be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.
5. Physical Standard:
â€¢ Minimum Height of the candidates must be 150 cm.
â€¢ Chest Measurement: Candidates should have a well developed chest with minimum range of expansion of 5 cm.
â€¢ Weight: Maximum Weight of the candidates must not exceed 50 kilograms.
â€¢ General Health: The candidate must be free of all communicable diseases and cardiovascular, medical or surgical deformities or infection.

The basic training courses happens generally two times in a year, first in the month of August/September and second in February/March respectively.

Paper Pattern (Time to show Skills!!)
The Exam consists of questions from the subjects:

â€¢ General Awareness
Each Paper has to be done in 2.5 hours duration and carries maximum marks of 100.
