KCET 2016 stands for Karnataka Common Entrance Test which a common entrance test organized by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). The examination is held for the admission in Government / University / Private Aided / Private Unaided Professional Educational Institutions of Karnataka state. The candidates are selected on the basis of merit obtained in KCET 2016. According to the result admissions to various professional courses of Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy and Yoga, Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Farm Science courses, B.Pharma and Pharma-D is given.

Eligibility criteria for Medical / Dental (MBBS / BDS)
The candidates should have passed 2nd PUC or equivalent exam. They must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology as subjects and English as one of the languages.The minimum marks to be obtained in PCB (aggregate) is 50% and 40% for SC, ST, Cat 1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B candidates.
Eligibility criteria for Engineering (BE / B.Tech)
The candidate should have passed 2nd PUC or equivalent exam with two compulsory subjects, namely, Physics and Mathematics and Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science should be there as an optional subjects with English as one of the languages. The minimum marks to required in optional subjects is 45% and 40% for SC, ST, Cat 1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B candidates.

Download the brochure from the official website and read it carefully.
Fill the online application form carefully.
After filling the details, upload photo, signature and left hand thumb impression & self-declaration.
Download the e-Challan from the website and make payment in the required bank.
Print the final application for further use.
Paper Pattern (Time to show Skills!!)
The question paper of Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics will each be of 60 marks.
The Kannada language test of 50 marks and shall be conducted for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates.The Agricultural practical examination of 200 marks to be held for claiming seats under agriculturist quota.
Note: There is no negative marking.
