Overview
Indian Railway Non-technical cadre exam is conducted by various Railway Recruitment Boards for recruitment of Group 'C' officers in Non-technical categories. Various non-technical job categories include Clerks, Assistant Station Masters, Ticket-Collectors, Train Clerks, Commercial Apprentice, Traffic Apprentice etc.
The related vacancies are periodically advertised by Boards in Employment News / Rojgar Samachar along with prescribed application format. Selection process mainly consists of written tests and may vary according to the nature of job profiles.
The successful applicants have to pass a medical test to finalize the appointment.
Eligibility
The aspirants need to be in age group of 18-27 yrs. The qualification criterion varies according to job profiles. For some categories like Commercial Apprentice, Traffic Apprentice, Assistant Station Master, Clerk Grade I, Guards, etc. the required qualification is a degree from a recognized University while for other lower categories it's merely matriculation.
Paper Pattern
The written test consists of:
1.General English (and / or Hindi)
2.Mathematics
3.General Knowledge
4.General Intelligence
The Indian Railway test will be mainly of Objective Type. Candidates are expected to possess a broad knowledge of current events and matters of general interest particularly relating to India, including Indian Railways.
Depending upon the number of Indian Railway vacancies and merit list, candidates are called for Indian Railway interview. Final selection is based on the total marks obtained in the written examination of Indian Railway Non Technical Cadre and interview.
How to apply?
You can apply for RNTC exams after the official notification is introduced or when the forms for RNTC recruitment will be published. Candidates will have to attach affix photograph along with the application form and will have to post this application form along with the photocopy of respective documents like DOB certificate, Educational Certificates, Residence prove etc. to the address mentioned in the application form. Application form should be reached at its destination before last date of application.
