A Brief Introduction
Situtead in Kuala Kumpur and Johor Bahru, the University Teknologi Malaysia is a public University which focuses on research-intensive courses in engineering,science and technology.
The University has 56% of its student population which consists of postgraduate students, the highest in Malaysia. As at 2015, UTM has more than 5,000 international students from more than 60 countries.
The University has two campuses:
The main campus which is in Skudai, and was the first university in the state of Johor. It spreads across an area of 1148 hectares ,and is the second largest public university .
The branch campus is located in Jalan Semarak within Kuala Lumpur, covering an area of 38 hectares. The branch campus accommodates diploma students, part-time students and undergraduate students.

UTM campus have at least 20 food centres (cafeterias), some of which are special which are open 24 hours a day and offer western food. Average spending on food per day is RM5.00.
